Suffering From Cigar Excitement? By Hatchetman Published: Tue November 6, 2007 3:00pm PrintEmail
Smoking too much and in a hurry can be difficult to overcome if your a new cigar smoker. When I was new to cigar smoking, I wanted it ALL...TODAY...I would smoke like a chimney because I wanted to experience all the different tastes and aromas I read in reviews. This can be a common problem for newer smokers, but take my advice...calm down. Every day can be a new experience with a new cigar, and smoking it in an excited hurry can ruin it. I used to ask other smokers how long a cigar should last, as mine would last 20-30min. I found out a Chruchill (roughly 7in. long) can last up to 2.5 hours. 2.5 hours! That cigar experience is what your going for. A Robusto (roughly 5in long) now lasts me up to 1.25 hours, and I enjoy it WAY more than the early days. This will come with time, after you learn to keep your cigars properly, and smoke it properly.
